Review: Me Tarzan You Jane by Camelia Miron Skiba

Moving on doesn’t always have to mean goodbye.
When Jane meets Lucas Oliver, famous cover model, it’s hate at first sight. His playboy persona rubs her the wrong way. He is determined to convince Jane that sometimes a second chance can mend a broken heart.

REVIEW

I chose to read the book for its title and cover, because they seemed to promise an amusing reading. Although the humor was not one of the main coordinates of it, I don’t regret what I got instead: a delicate, nice love story.

A love story in which evolution the reader will actively participate. Being told from the point of view of the heroine, Jane, the reader will assist from the first row to the changes that occur in her mind and heart. First, it will be presented to us a state (apparently) casual, without urgent imminent cares, and in which the wanted humor is present. But a state that bears the imprint of heroine’s loss and of her conviction that there is no second chance or that should not be one.

The author managed to tag and convey the changes the heroine goes through, as she begins to know better the superficial and smug Lucas. Gradually (there is no instalove here), the true natures are revealed, and the points of interest and relationships change. The old feelings and sufferings are not forgotten, but they are kept as loved memories, thus allowing the possibility of new opportunities.

Is enjoyable the natural way in which all takes place. There are enough events and moments that season the story. The presence of a small "binder" will facilitate a way for the characters to grow fond of each other and will give weight to their feelings. However, when a second chance seems to have been granted and the confidence in each other gained, new tests appear, tests that threaten to destroy everything. The heroine’s reasons, fears and decisions are pertinent and give realism to the relationship.

The outcome will restore the possibility of a new beginning, of a second chance for a second chance.

If you want a sweet, nice told story in which the passion and love are present without the "help" of the explicit scenes, then you should read Camelia Skiba’s book.
